Frequently Asked Questions
Creating beautiful smiles with veneers has never been easier. At Today Dental of Northlake, we can get veneers completed in as little as 2 appointments that are 2-3 weeks apart. In some cases, a 3rd appointment, called a “try-in” appointment may be necessary. At this appointment you will have the opportunity to see what your veneers will look like prior to permanently putting them in. This way you can suggest changes in color, shape, form or thickness. We understand you’ll be the one wearing this smile, so it’s got to be just right! We’ll make sure you get the results you’ve always dreamed of having.
Cost varies but a typical porcelain veneer will run between $1,200 to $2,000. Most patients get anywhere from 6-8 veneers in what we call “The Smile Zone” or teeth seen when smiling. The cost varies based on the quality of veneer (standard vs premium) that a patient chooses. An individual’s anatomy may also impact the cost of veneer placement (ie replacing old veneers or crowns, need to hide metal fillings, ground down teeth, teeth grinder, etc)
We offer no-charge smile makeover consultations. At your consult we’ll take x-rays, evaluate your bone, gum health and any previous dental treatment. We’ll also determine if you have any history of bruxism (aka “teeth grinding”) where a mouth guard may be recommended after veneer placement. In most cases, Today Dental of Northlake is known for starting today…it’s in our name. If the time is right, we can start the veneer process on day one to save you time and money.
Here are the common reasons why people choose to get veneers:
- Cosmetic Enhancement: Improve stained, discolored, or misshapen teeth, providing a more aesthetically pleasing smile.
- Whitening: Achieve a whiter and brighter smile, especially for teeth that may not respond well to traditional teeth whitening methods.
- Correcting Irregularities: Correct the shape, size, or alignment of teeth, providing a more uniform and balanced look to your smile.
- Durability: Porcelain veneers are durable and resistant to staining, providing a long-lasting solution to enhance your smile.
- Minimal Tooth Reduction: Veneers typically require minimal removal of tooth enamel, preserving more natural tooth structure.
- Quick Results: Veneers can often be placed in just a few visits, providing a relatively quick way to transform your smile.
It’s important to note that while veneers can address various cosmetic concerns, they may not be suitable for everyone. Consulting with a qualified dentist will help determine if veneers are the right option for you based on your specific dental conditions and goals.
Yes! In many cases we don’t have to replace all the veneers and can fix just the one(s) broken. At Today Dental of Northlake we will always take the conservative approach to treating your dental needs.
